Usborne Around The World Mazes Book Review

My 6-year-old LOVES mazes.

So, when Timberdoodle sent me this book to review he couldn't wait to look through it.
He had no idea that it's actually part of a curriculum and that I was tricking him into learning.

I was worried that the pencil wouldn't write on this type of paper, but it works well.
The pages are very colorful and thick.
I've actually erased his pencil marks and let him try each maze a second and third time.

Each page is a different state or country.
He learned that it snows in Norway, and he learned about the Great Wall in China.

I love simple, easy, fun, learning.

The only thing that could make this product better would be dry erase pages.
I love a colorful and fun workbook. 10 out of 10.
Especially for my son, because mazes are his favorite.

Easy DIY Christmas Wreaths Made With Only DOLLAR TREE Products!

DIY CHRISTMAS WREATHS

Have you been to Dollar Tree to see that Christmas stuff yet?
If you have a smaller store, like I do, you can order anything that you want and have it shipped to your store for FREE!
This is dangerous for me because I want to buy it all!
Who is with me?
Lol

I made 2 wreaths using only products from Dollar Tree.
They have new wreath forms, burlap in Christmas colors, and so many ornaments.
They also have lots of nice flowers, which you know I'm a sucker for.

This year, I found a candy cane wreath form!
I loveeee this.

Want to see how I made my wreaths?
Check out this video.
Showing you is so much easier than telling you.
Any ideas? Send them my way.
You know that I love a good, inexpensive DIY.

Color Fold Toy Review - On Timberdoodle

Color Fold

I think that we have found a new favorite travel game.
When Timberdoodle sent us this to review, I just knew that my son would love it.
He loves brain busters and he loves colorful games.
I was surprised to find that this game is also for adults.
I didn’t expect to also love this game.

The game comes with a cloth.
It reminds is of a Rubiks Cube.
You simply fold it to get different patterns.
It comes with cards that have images on them.
The goal is to make your fabric look like the one in each picture.
There are different cars for different levels.
Our 7 year old works on the easy puzzles,
and we work on the harder ones.

We love that it’s a simple cloth.
We also love that it travels well.

The only thing that could make this product better would be an app with the cards on it so that we could travel with the cloth and without the cards.
But, this is still a great problem solving game.
Our son loves it.

Make Your Gift Wrapping Look Amazing with Dollar Tree & Hallmark

I like to add accessories to spruce up my gift wrapping,
and you know that those accessories are also from Dollar Tree,
so I wanted to show you what I do to make my gifts look a little more interesting.

This post is actually sponsored by Dollar Tree, and I can't believe it.
As of today, all Dollar Tree stores will sell

Including Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars.
Can you even?I can't.

The Expressions Collection will only be $1
and the quality is amazing,

The Heartline Collection will be
2for$1
50 CENTS
MindBlown.

So many options.

Okay, back to sprucing up your gift wrapping.

Here's my haul
Notice that I chose pink flowers instead of a bow.
The Elsa wrapping paper has pink flowers.

I'm also using washi tape to wrap the gift.
I LOVE washi tape.

Be sure that your characters or image will not be sideways after you're done the wrapping.
You want Elsa to be standing up on your finished gift.

Alrighty.
To use a flower instead of a bow, cut the flower off of the stem,
then tie a ribbon around it.
(I have a video on the bottom of this post that better shows how to do this.)

I used blue ribbon, to match the blue accents in the paper.

I also LOVE to make cards for interesting.
I love adding stickers!
If I'm not sending the card, I'll add these balloons.

They are a family favorite.

They pop open, and become inflated balloons,
Which is why I don't send them in the mail.
I found them in the party section, but you can also find them on the website.

Here is my video.
You can see every step in better detail in the video, and shop with me.

Gymboree has changed their clothing, and I am here for it!

When I originally received an email from them, asking if I would like to do a sponsored post for their #MadeYouSmile campaign, I immediately wanted to do a Back to School post,

That all changed when I saw their new clothing.
It is so modern!
So Trendy!

I immediately changed my mind, and decided to do a post about their new look.
It is such an upgrade.
I love these new pieces on their website.
So Modern!

I mean. I guess that this could also be a back to school post. One about awesome modern kid's clothing and where to find it. But, I really just want to show everyone how awesome their new clothes are. They really fit our style and they are very trendy.

I also want to mention that their new clothes are made with comfier fabrics.
That's a big deal for our family, because both of our kiddos have sensory processing disorder.

I am so in love with their new line!

This is the photo of the main girls page on their website.
How stinking cute is this?
Modern and trendy.
I am impressed.

Here is a peek at some of their new arrivals.
I just love those pants.
If you buy these during a sale, you can save tons of money of trendy clothing.
I have a blog post on how to save money at Gymboree.

Here's another peek at the new clothes in the girl's line.
I just love that jacket.

Now, let me show you a little of the new boy's line.

This is the main photo on the boy's page on their website.
I love the styling of that outfit.
I love how the kiddos are styled throughout the website, and that you can click on the style to buy the pieces.

Let us look at these awesome new boy's pieces

I love that jacket!
That alien shirt is also pretty cute.

I also love the piece here.
Those shoes are super cool.

What's your favorite new piece? I love that the new clothing has more modern colors and a better fit.
I also love grays and muted tones.

I am also very happy about the new comfy fabrics.
Who wants to wear uncomfortable clothing?
Their new jeans are supposed to be amazing, and I cannot wait to get a pair for each of my kiddos.
My kids are picky about jeans, but their new jeans seem super promising.

Don't forget to check out my blog post on how to save money at Gymboree.
You can buy a piece of clothing on sale, use a coupon to save more, and even get it shipped for free to your house. Anyone else love online shopping? If you like taking your kiddo into the store, to make sure that their new clothes fit, you can also use coupons on your in store purchases. Use the coupons on sale items to save the most money. You can even earn Gymbucks, with is basically free money to spend in the store at a later time. That's my cup of tea! I love a good deal, and I love being able to use a coupon.

Summer Clothing Tips for Kids with the Gymboree Local Legends Campaign

Can you believe it?
I thought that it would never get here.
I'm ready to sit in the pool and day, and use that grill!

How cute it that tiny pool?
Logan's physical therapy team had a water party, and this was their cute little pool.
I just love this photo.

Gymboree Sale On Now!

is about staying home and making memories, during the ssummer.

I'm so excited that they reached out to me, because I love playing outdoors and going to local summer events with my kiddos.

Playing in the kiddie pool and grilling corn is a summer staple in our home.
I love outfits that can be easily put on and changed when messes happen.
I also love carefree outfits.
Outfits that match almost anything.
I love being able to toss together an outfit in minutes, and spending more time in the water sprinkler with the kiddos.

I love outfits that can be worn to the park or out to dinner.
I love when outfits are good for different situations.

I also LOVE when an outfit is easy to take on and off.
This makes it easy for me to change the kids if they make a mess when we are out and about.

Notice my son's outfit in this photo?
He's about to wear it to physical therapy, but I could also take him to dinner.

My Tips For Boy's Summer Clothing

1- Pull On Shorts

They look nice, but they're super comfy.
They tend to be softer and easier to play in, plus they're easy to change if they get dirty
Also, get a solid color so they match any shirt.

2- Solid Colored Shirts

They can be casual, but can be worn for something a little nicer.
They may not be dress shirts, but they look nicer than graphic tees.
Plus, they match most bottoms.

3- Henley Tee Shirts

My son loves these more than polos because they are thinner.
They just a little dress, and a lot more comfy in the heat.

My Tips For  Girl's Summer Outfits

I love summer dresses!
They're super easy! There's no outfit matching.

1- Summer Dresses

No matching to worry about.
Just pull a dress over her head, and call it a day.
I'm such a fan.
Almost any dress can be casual and dressy.
Super easy.

2-Bike Shorts

If  your toddler is like mine, you may want to consider bike shorts.
Solid colors match almost any dress, and he won't be able to show the world her underpants.

3- Rompers

I love that these are in style, again!
No worry about bike shorts, or matching bottoms.
They can be casual and dressy, and they're super easy to change when messes happen.

My Tips on Swimwear

1- Get that super cute swimsuit and take many photos

My daughter just turned 3, and she remembers the swimsuit that she wore the most last summer.
She loved it, she loves the photos, and she felt like a princess wearing it.
I love those memories, too!

2- Get Darker Colors & More Than One Suit For Everyday Wear

Will your kiddos be in the pool, all summer?
Eating in their swimwear?
I like getting 2 pieces of swimwear for each child.
That way there's always a dry suit,
and they're less likely to wear over the summer.
Why go for darker colors?
I don't, but I have had a pair of my son's trunks stained by an ice pop.
Whoops. Lol.
Oh well. That's what summer is about.

One Last Tip

Always Buy Kid's Clothing On Sale

You can save fifty percent or more, just by waiting for a sale.
Would you like to save even more?
Look for a coupon to use during the sale.
You can stack the coupon with the sales promo for a much bigger savings.
Wanna save the most?
Wait for a sale, a coupon, and a free shipping promo.
A Lot of  store's ( like Gymboree) will let you do this.

For example, today on Gymboree, you can save up to 70 percent on sales.
They are also providing a code for an extra 20 percent off ad free shipping.
They offer this code on their homepage, so you do not have to look for it.
I love, love, love this about Gymboree.
They run some awesome sales, too

Have any tips for me?
Please let me know.
I'd love to hear them.

3-Cover in a vinegar/steel wool solution.
Let the vinegar and steel wool solution sit for 48 hours before applying

Easy Dollar Tree Easter DIYs | Wreath-Planter-Floral Arrangement

Have you seen the new Easter stuff at Dollar Tree?
So many DIY opportunities!

My son and I hauled a ton of purple supplies. It's his favorite color. We made a wreath, a planter, and a flower arrangement.
EVERYTHING that we used cam from Dollar Tree. Everything was just $1
Can I get a high five?
What will you make?

We grabbed a floral foam ring and some purple raffia.
We wrapped the raffia around the foam ring, gluing along the way.
It took awhile to cover all of the ring, but it looks beautiful.

I actually used 2 or 3 stands at a time, to get this part of the project done faster.

I glued the end down on the back of the wreath.....

.......Then, I trimmed any extra "fly aways"

Next, I added flowers. I cut the flowers so that the stems were long enough to go through the foam,, but short enough so that they wouldn't come out of the other side.

Just poke the flowers in.
SO EASY.
I love Easy.

Next, I added an egg. I love these glitter eggs.
You can totally use the eggs that come on skewers,so make this project super fast.

Here's an up close look.
I glued the egg in the middle of the flower.

Here it is on my door.
I love the purples and I LOVE the texture!

My son saw this purple vase, and just had to have it.
He chose a bouquet of purple flowers and a pack of Easter eggs to go with it.
The eggs are on skewers, making it super easy to arrange them.

We used cotton balls as a vase filler.
So inexpensive, and we only used a portion of the bag.

We added a raffia bow as a final touch.
That was my son's idea, and I think it was a good one.

How awesome are these planters?
They're such a great size.

I painted a small detail on mine, to look like an Easter egg.
Then, I filled it with potting soil.
Ps, That bag of soil came from Dollar Tree!

After that, I added one of the yard hooks and packed down the dirt.
Don't forget to pack the dirt, because it keeps the hook sturdy.

I can't wait for warmer weather, to plant real flowers in this.
I'm going to try the seeds from Dollar Tree. Have you tried them?
For now, I chose fake flowers from the floral section, and a few of the Easter eggs on skewers.
I have this on my porch, and the flowers are holding up great so far.

For the flower pot on the hook, I grabbed a 3 pack of plastic pots.
Yep, a 3 PACK for $1.
YESSSSSS.
Love me some Dollar Tree.
I put a flower in the smaller flower pot also.

Here it is!
This would also look so good with a dollar tree sign hanging from it.
I would of loved one of these when we lived in an apartment and all we had was a balcony, and no land. I think that I'g going to spray paint this copper, after Easter.

Here's the YouTube video of us making our projects-

Everything that we used can be found at Dollar Tree!
